Meanwhile, Mental Illness Is Currently A Major Problem In The World

MENTAL HEALTH

There was a knock at the door. The lord of the house, Mr. Bampoe, walked to the door this time, just as his children rushed to see who was at the door. He opened the door and voila !! there stood a couple with the woman looking exactly like his wife Anna. Mr. Bampoe almost ran away because his wife was in the room. So how did my wife appeared here?

After exchanging greetings, Mr. Bampo was still unsure of the resemblance and so called his wife to the door. Ho-n-e-y!!!!...Anna was very happy with mixed feelings but saddened to see her sister for well-known reasons. Mr. Bampoe was still confused here. Alright Can you come in now? he told the visitors.

Seemingly, it was a long story to be uncovered. Introductions were made and the truth was that, the woman in question was the twin sister of Anna, Mr. Bampoe's wife. Surprised by what he heard, Mr. Bampoe asked, "Why don't I know her?" With a deep breath, Anna felt emotional when she began to cry to confirm that all is not well. Suddenly the atmosphere changed to sadness. Even Anna's twin sister cried.

Anna's twin Annette has suffered from mental illness for a long time. She was taken to many health centres for help, but the journey was not easy. Annette lost contacts with all her friends and even some of her siblings because of her condition. Her husband was the only one who helped her on this terrible journey to freedom.

In most societies, such people are considered non-existent, and do not even have access to all privileges in the community due to their mental health problems. It's unfortunate this problem still exists in many societies throughout the world. According to statistics, bipolar disorder is the most common today. Many people unconsciously associate this disorder with mood swings that range from low depressions to manic heights.

It is strange that this bipolar condition can be treated but not completely healed.

Regrettably, this chronic disease can last for years so a medical diagnosis may be needed. And this change of mood sometimes takes several months. However, regarding Anna's twin sister, her bipolar condition was associated with thoughts of suicide. She tried several times to commit suicide, but thanks to her husband. He was always with her to save the situation.

Annette underwent a combination of medication and psychotherapy after being examined by a special doctor. Sadly, in such situations, many people stay away from these victims when they know that they need help. Recent World Health Organization records show that one in four people is affected by mental disorders.

At present, around 450 million people suffer from such diseases, making mental disorders a leading cause of illness and disability throughout the world.
