Welcome To Dnipro – One Of The Oldest Cities In Ukraine

TRAVEL & TOURISM

Many link the success of the Ukrainian economy with its main priorities in the Eastern Partnership and European Neighborhood Policy (ENP). However, some masses do not believe in this statement, but believe that the leaders of Ukraine have worked hard for this achievement. Peeps travel to Ukraine for different reasons, especially for tourism.

I must say more because, after our visit to Ukraine's Dnipro, I grasped why it was worth a visit to this place. A few years ago, Ukraine popularised the tourism sector with more than 20 million foreigners calling on the Eastern European country on a yearly basis. However, as an authoring group, it was time for us to see what Ukraine has to offer.

We traveled a long distance, but finally reached our chosen destination, Dnipro, located on the Dnieper river in Central Ukraine. Our collective preferences were based on what we saw on television and read about as the fourth largest city in Ukraine after Kyiv. We were welcomed by the Twin Towers, which were about 106 meters high and represented the main symbol of the Dnipro.

Jocularly, if fresh air is a ticket to heaven, we would've been one of the first groups to be there because the freshness could make you sleep as you walk along the river. The city is actually located on the Dnieper in Ukraine, with large rivers that flow south through Russia, Belarus and Ukraine to the Black Sea.

After spending all day in the city of Dnipro, we decided to continue exploring the cultural center available here. And you cannot believe what we saw-- the beauty of culture was simply stunning!. In fact, the art museum, which includes paintings and sculptures, is also truly beautiful.

We studied the area and learned a lot about the history of the Jews and the Holocaust in Ukraine and the city as a whole and how it was a famous center many years ago.

Population is a huge problem for many cities around the world, but fortunately for Dnipropetrovsk (real name) of Dnipro, it is home to only one million ruled people. Our feet could not stop walking as we visited the Transfiguration Cathedral, the Central Dnipro Skyline, the Merefa-Kherson Bridge and the Monastery Island.

Historically, the Dnipro was founded in 1776, which is 243 years now. So you can imagine how old this city has been in existence. After one hundred and fifty years (150) the city was given a new name Dnepropetrovsk ie. in 1926. And then in 2016, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine changed the official name of the city of Dnepropetrovsk in the Dnipro.
